I just don't get it! I swear it takes the same amount of effort and $$ to make a great meal as a **** one and I don't get a chef or cook who doesn't taste what they produce.I ordered a linguini marinara. Two (miniscule) mussels on top of unsalted, non seasoned completely tasteless pasta. A few shards of dry, unrecognisable fish together with visible chilli, but even the little red rings of chilli had no flavour. I was on a large table opposite another guest with the linguini - we each had the same experience - not even a hint of garlic! Beside me was a serve of salmon which looked great and was reportedly very tasty. I noticed many almost full plates being removed at the end of the evening....

I never complain but today I witnessed the rudest bar person ever. I went to this pub after work to have a pint during happy hour. Evert cricketers beer is $7.50. This bald headed guy behind gave me the filthiest of looks and was so reluctant to serve me. I ordered a summer ale, gave him $10, he put the money in the till and then walked off!! I had to get another staff member to get my change. He saw this but never even apologised! He is a complete moron. Will never go to this pub again!!

Normally get together with a few mates on a Tuesday for a cold beer at a nearby pub, but recently, it was closed, so we walked down the street a bit and found this funky bar (in a former pub). Big attraction for us was the good range of craft beers on tap, and all at happy hour prices (unlike many other pubs, who generally only have one mainstream beer available for happy hour)!! What's not to enjoy!! Haven't eaten there, so can't comment on the food, but the liquid offering is very good!

Average pub, service was good and food arrived in acceptable time. We had the chicken parma and Mushroom burger. Chicken parma was large, severed with fries and a coleslaw salad. Mushroom burger however was bland and boring - the mushrooms made the bun soggy. Waiter was good asking us how was everything - and listed when I told him how the burger wasn't very good. However could offered a complimentry drink, since clearly I hadn't eaten any of my meal except for the some of fries. Book a table now

Looked promising. Good service but basic pub food options less than average for the price. Eg parma huge but Coleslaw drowning in mayo. Paprika marinated salmon (daily special)... dry as way overcooked, burnt brussel sprouts and tasteless half pureed corn. Drinks seriously overpriced. $20 for a simple cocktail. Very demeaning 'artwork' on wall near upstairs toilets. Try somewhere else.

Relaxed atmosphere, a great mix of on tap beers. Laid back crowd during the day, gets more intense and crowded later.Friendly staff and the windows open in the warm weather onto the hippest st in Melbourne, south of the river. What's not to like? Nice food, cool street views, all the drinks options and a cool crowd with the right music.

Weekday afternoon-evening drinks. Nice atmosphere, friendly and engaging staff eager to serve. Great range of common and not-that-common beers on tap. Crowd was both Chapel and non-Chapel Street types, which is refreshing to see in Windsor - everyone felt at home.

The wolf and I, was one of my fav pubs on chapel however my fav beer was taken off the tap. The food is average and over priced. It's still a nice place to catch up with mates.
