The Woolpack - Table reservation

My first time here, I visited with some work colleagues who've been working from home for a while so it was nice to get together. There was a little bit of weirdness when we asked if we could move tables to a sunnier area and I should mention that we asked for an outside, but covered table as rain was expected, however when we got there it was nice and sunny so we asked to sit in the sun. There seemed to be some difficulty and if the place was busy I would understand, but the place had only about 3-4 tables being used so there were lots of free tables in sunnier spaces. Clean tidy very friendly staff, a rather fine establishment. Plenty of space to to sit talk. My friend had a beer I'd a coffee both were fine. Not a pub I've been in for 40 years so many changes. Didn't visit the toilets though don't doubt for a second their equally splendid. Great place right on the end of the bypass. Enjoyed our visit.

I live locally but I've never been in for a breakfast until today. Both me and my wife ordered a mega breakfast and I have to say it was one of the best breakfasts I've eaten in a long time. Everything on the plate was cooked beautifully and was served piping hot. We will most definitely be returning in the future.

Great food had a yummy gammon and veg for dinner and its all being redecorated looking great so far. Good job� x

great atmosphere nice eating and friendly people, we had a brilliant night out. we look forward to a visit.
