We were recommended this restaurant for dinner by a local and found the service and atmosphere to be good overall. The bar and waiting staff were friendly and the food arrived fairly quickly. We enjoyed the curry we ordered, but were disappointed with the nan bread and popadams as they were uncooked and unpleasant. We informed the staff, but not much was done about it. The halloumi chips were also disappointing, with only 5 small chips for £1 each. However, we liked the chili sauce that came with them. The Mexican 5 bean chili salad was mediocre, with cold and clumpy rice. The dessert, an apple crumble with a generous double helping of vanilla ice cream, was a highlight and very enjoyable.

Never been disappointed with a Wetherspoon’s yet and this one is no different. Always able to find a good meal and a drink at a reasonable fair price. Ate here on both nights of our visit to Buxton and despite being a little on the busy side we didn’t have to wait long for the food to arrive. When it did it was well presented and hot. Wherever we visit we try to see if there is a Wetherspoons as we never have a problem finding a good meal without being ripped off.

It looked brilliant, lots and lots of outdoor seating, but only ‘assistance dogs’ allowed There were cyclists and their bikes but we weren’t allowed to sit and have a drink in the beautiful town of Buxton, it was a gorgeous day , lots of folk like us on our holidays WITH our family dog/s . Talk about discrimination!

The accessibility is terrible- there IS available parking behind the pub because there are 4 vehicles parked there at present- disabled people swivel, struggle, we don’t care!!
