I was here on vacation with my family for the second year in a row and I could not resist to taste some of the fantastic cakes this Konditorei has. In one word; fantastic!! The owners are super friendly and they even talk some Dutch... The coffee tastes really great, I had an espresso and a latte macchiato. Fantastic. On my way home I am for sure going to take some home made Jam with me. So many different tastes, too hard to choose. I had breakfast on our second day in Lindau and they serve a very good breakfast! Salmon, scrambled eggs and some different bread, really tasteful. I am certainly going to visit again, that is for sure!
I had a cherry and marzipan tart that was about the most sublime cake I have ever eaten. Husband agrees. Kids had lemon meringue and apple strudel and thought theirs were lovely too. Service very good - smiley staff and they spoke good English which is not a given around here and we try and do our best with the phrase book. Highlight of Lindau.
We came around lunch time after touring Lindau by foot. The chocolate drink was the best I ever tasted, the coffee was very good too. The cakes were very nice and tasty, though I had much better ones in other places in Germany. All in all it was a very good cafe and the service was excellent. It seems to be constantly full.
We stop here mid-morning foe Apple Strudel. Was fantastic! Coffee great too! It's a pastry shop and very good one at that.
