"Beautiful food and wine and lovely service. Lots of small dishes to mix and match and the best cheese and charcuterie platter we have had. We enjoyed it so much we went back several nights in a row!"

We were seated inside amongst 20 other guests, and served by the owner, chef, waitress with great joy and pride. No, she did not speak much english, but this was no problem. The atmosphere and the warmth of the food made us all feel very much at home! In particular the soup greeted us and said enjoy what is to come . The main course for me was chicken with carrots, sticky rice and a lovely salad. My husband had one of his favorites, eggplant lasagna. We were so happy. I asked the owner to make a reservation for a table. He said inside was full, but outside on the terrace there is always a free space. One hour later we arrive and all of a sudden he doesn't understand English anymore, but making clear that all tables are reserved, also on the terrace. Thirdly, one hour later I went back to check: the terrace was empty. In other words: he refused us as clients! The arrogant owner thinks he can earn his money with only local (or French) guests. As a tourist to avoid at all...

Chef Milaine brings to Apt, cuisine inspired by her native Antilles, and also from the Indian Ocean. The menu changes daily, but expect to find mildly spiced dishes inspired by the East and the West, served in a quiet square. Her poultry and fish dishes rarely disappoint, and Milaine is also able to serve up imaginitive vegetarian dishes.

Having visited in 2015, was delighted to return recently and find the restaurant just as good. Excellent short menu of 4 items. Food tasted great, well presented and the service was charming. Hopefully won’t be another 7 years.
