Had a late lunch after seeing high tide at Hopewell. Table by the large window afforded us a view of the bay, small harbor and very quick humming bird at the window feeder. My companion had the crab and haddock special, yes fried, with cold slaw - fresh and tasty. I selected the lobster roll. Now a purest might complain this one had a small amount of diced celery and sweet pickled onion and a leaf of lettuce. I think it added to the overall taste. An excellent lobster salad roll and wonderful service too!

We ate our way through the Maritimes! In our opinion, Tides has the best fried clams. The majority of other places had clams with a good batter. Tides uses a lighter batter with more flavour. This is a great place to grab a bite to eat. The hummingbirds that buzz around the feeders attached to the dining room windows make for great entertainment. Check it out.

The Tides Restaurant lives up to its reputation as having some of the best seafood in the area (or anywhere else). The lobster rolls we had there were the best of the six different places we tried during our trip. Delicious!

We ate at 3 or 4 places in Alma, and this was the best. The food was delicious, and the waitress (Sylvia) was hilarious and very attentive. It's a little pricey, but everything is in this town, so it's worth it.
