Visited this place with our 5 month old son in the pram, although our original waitress (who was great) put us at a table which she said we could spread out at (wasn't expecting anyone on the table next to us), we were then told by another waiter that she was wrong at the table we were sitting at was booked and he then squished us into a corner. We were really looking forward to the food but to be honest it was all pretty darn average. For what it was it was overpriced. And to top things off, the whole time we were there no one showed up for the table next to us... I think the lady was actually right to begin with and we could have been sat there and actually had some space
Was a special occasion, 25 year celebration of meeting my wife.The Degustation was wifes choice, and as she is a keen Cook and foodie, I was happy to agree; fortunately!It is not often that such a long set of 7 meals can be described as simply faultless.The menu timing was managed with discretion and panache.The wine choices were simply delightful, we only regret as we did not photograph the wine bottle labels..The 7 dishes were simply devine, cooked by clearly & talented passionate team.Simply one of the best meals in my life, so well done and congratulations!The staff were warm and welcoming, Simply the best, thanks again! I booked last minute for a birthday lunch and we had a great table on the waterside. Our waitress was great giving us the right mount of attention that let us get our orders in and have time together to celebrate a birthday and chat. All our meals tasted great (my father thought his Osso Bucco was a little stringy, but it had a nice taste). The rest of us had seafood which was lovely and fresh. We also had a few cocktails which there were definitely no complains about. We had the 2 course lunch option which gave us enough choice and variety. I would come back again and try a dinner for two with hopefully the same view.
Had a very enjoyable evening here.Access is good, seating is well spaced and not cramped. Menu is typical Australian/European fare, not large, but with something for everyone.The wine list has a quite extensive Aussie selection, with an occasional wine from elsewhere.Our meals were nicely presented, the food of a high standard.Service was excellent.This is an up-market restaurant, that you would go to for a really good meal/evening, it's not a "cheap & cheerful". Pricing is not cheap, but it is good value.Overall I would definitely recommend if you were in he area.

After being told that the steak that I ordered would be best cooked medium rare and ordering it that way my steak came out much closer to medium well. I pointed this out and was offered that it be recooked. As this would have meant eating after my other guests. I declined, but was a little disappointed that no recompense was offered. While generally happy with the meal my other guests also believed that their meats were over cooked. Not what we expected from a high class restaurant.
Wonderful lunch - magic views - excellent service - the best Barrumundi (in fact best piece of fish) we have ever eaten, cooked to perfection, flavoursome just wonderful - we would highly recommend the 3 course lunch special it is very special. Tides have the right balance of atmosphere, wonderful food and excellent service ... not easily found!
Have been here various times, day and night, with the most difficult and discerning diners who want to go back each time they visit. It has a grand view, excellent wait staff and have never had a bad meal. Always enjoyable. As an added bonus it has a special set price menu at lunch time and undercover free parking is available.
Had 26 guests join me for a birthday this month at Tides. Michael was most accomodating . Food was incredible and wine choices were explained at every course. Highly recommend ! A wonderful night!

We went rather late for our dinner but nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food was excellent and the service superb
Meals were just delicious. Brilliant service. Views spectacular. Would certainly recommend. We will be back.
