Tigelleria Organic Restaurant

My wife and I are frequent visitors at Tigelleria. We enjoy the food. Tonight we had the Octopus Carpaccio, which is thinly sliced octopus with diced potato, grape tomatoes, green beans, in a vinaigrette. Lovely seafood taste accentuated by the fresh vegetables and vinaigrette. I had the meatballs spaghetti. The meatballs have enough binder to be tender, but are still meaty. The sauce is a bit spicy, with some red pepper flake, and the pasta is perfect. My wife had the Chicken Marsala. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the marsala sauce with mushrooms was lovely, with just a bit of sweetness you expect from Marsala. Good food. Pleasant atmosphere. Attentive staff. An old school local neighborhood atmosphere that is very appealing in this age of “curated experiences”. The wine was a very pleasant recommendation by the waiter but the wine list in general is overpriced, with very few values, for such a restaurant. Consider providing your own wine.

There have been gnats flying around the past few times I’ve been there over the past few years. Check the planters or something. They have to come from somewhere.

I can only recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Italian food. We are very fortunate to have this great Italian restaurant in our neighborhood.

The food is excellent as usual, and the service is very friendly! Reminiscent of a good European neighborhood restaurant!!
