Haven't been to in a long time. Was looking forward to it since it is a hike to Ardmore. Unlike past visits I had some concerns, but the beers I did try were good, but I wasn't overly thrilled by the recommendation in what was called a great beer. In the tap room I had the Sticky Drippy Crystals which is a Wildflower Honey Saison. The tartness overtook any of the honey which I was looking forward to. Also, I question if such a tart beer is truly a Saison. However, it was still a tasty beer. The other beer I had was the DDH Oblivex which is a double dry hopped double IPA. That was a delicious beer. We didn't order food, but the menu did look appetizing. The servers were very knowledgeable and...

I will start with saying that the beer and food are very good, at times excellent over the many years that I have patronized the Fermentaria. That said, Friday will be my last visit unless they desire to make changes. I will defend their right to make whatever policy choices they wish, and to treat customers how they see fit, especially the management. And we as customers can only vote with our business, and so it will be for me. Their manager on Friday night (she offered her name, and did not wish to know it after how she treated me) was beyond rude, and frankly insulting, to me. Some of the staff over the years has at times been what my wife and call snippy and officious , however others h...

Perhaps I was too harsh on Tired Hands as a brand all those years ago when I first reviewed them. They do make some great beers, especially their milkshake IPAs. Somehow I like this place better than the smaller Tired Hands brewery down the road, despite the fact that on the surface the brewpub feels like it's more my kind of place. While it's reminiscent of a warehouse, I appreciated that it's less claustrophobic than its sister location. The ambiance doesn't take a hit and this still feels like its own distinct brand. The beers are also still good, despite being told that the beers brewed in the smaller location tend to be better.

Before anyone gets their undies bunched up, yes, the beer is still amazing. What's not amazing is the atmosphere now if you sit at a table. Scan for a menu, put your own order in on your phone.... No one clears the tables it's all weird. The staff is still super friendly and knowledgeable but it feels like they want to just be a bar. So my recommendation is SIT AT THE BAR. If not you will get pissed off. I want to be waited on if I'm leaving a tip. Overthinking the technology is a major drawback. Sometimes simple service is best. Unless you are catering to a teenager that wants to spend the time on their phone. Fix this please....
