Every time we are remotely close to Ardmore, we almost always make a pit stop to Tired Hands to stock up on their awesome and unique beers! We particularly love their milkshake IPAs, and their Aperol spritz turned beer last summer was a hit in our house! Despite us often picking up their brews, we never actually stopped inside the Fermentaria for grub and drinks until this winter. We were super excited to meet some friends there and get the full ambience! We came on a Saturday evening and waited a few mins for a table for 4, but nothing crazy at all. We were able to order some drinks on their contactless online portal and hang by their shop waiting area, which was nice. By the time our first...

Their menu is also impressive, featuring one of the best smash burgers in the area. It’s a double smash burger topped with Cooper Sharp cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomato, onion, and special sauce, and it comes with a side of seriously good fries. During my last lunch visit, I noticed that nearly half of the diners were enjoying the burger. Another pleasant surprise was their dessert selection! They whip up some delightful whipped cream that's served with many of their desserts. I've tried the coconut rice pudding and the berries on a biscuit, both of which were delicious. Next on my list is to try their coffee pot! The service at Fermentaria has been excellent; water was served promptly,...

Very excited to finally drop a review for Tired Hands Brewing, Fermentaria location! I first became aware of the existence of the brewery at the height of the covid lock down and although I could not get their beer at the time I did develop a mild obsession with their online merchandise store in which I have placed several orders for their shirts and hoodies. But the opportunity at last arrived and I finally got to try some Tired Hands beer! Alien Church was the name of the beer that Steve and I enjoyed and is a New England IPA! This was one of the better beers I have had for this IPA type in a few months. Tropical, sweetness and hoppiness are the flavor features you will pick up with this b...

The Tired Hands Fermentaria is a spacious brewery with really fun hipster vibes going. They have a great selection of beers. While I don't drink much anymore, my friends all really enjoyed the IPAs, especially the flagship IPA. One of my friends lamented that there were no sours on the menu. Ordering was super easy. You scan a code and order online on your phone and they bring you the food or drinks super fast. Our group loved the shishito peppers and sweet potato fries. The peppers were expertly cooked but I did wish there was a little more salt stuck to them rather than sitting on the bottom. Best of all, the bill was super reasonable in the end. They have fair prices for their IPAs, not t... Book a table now

I will start with saying that the beer and food are very good, at times excellent over the many years that I have patronized the Fermentaria. That said, Friday will be my last visit unless they desire to make changes. I will defend their right to make whatever policy choices they wish, and to treat customers how they see fit, especially the management. And we as customers can only vote with our business, and so it will be for me. Their manager on Friday night (she offered her name, and did not wish to know it after how she treated me) was beyond rude, and frankly insulting, to me. Some of the staff over the years has at times been what my wife and call snippy and officious , however others h...

Perhaps I was too harsh on Tired Hands as a brand all those years ago when I first reviewed them. They do make some great beers, especially their milkshake IPAs. Somehow I like this place better than the smaller Tired Hands brewery down the road, despite the fact that on the surface the brewpub feels like it's more my kind of place. While it's reminiscent of a warehouse, I appreciated that it's less claustrophobic than its sister location. The ambiance doesn't take a hit and this still feels like its own distinct brand. The beers are also still good, despite being told that the beers brewed in the smaller location tend to be better.

While our beer arrived quickly, the food took a long time to come out. We had a show at AMH across the street and had to get our food to go 30 minutes after we ordered, even though it wasn't busy. The food itself was excessively greasy and salty. To top it off, the app suggested a tip of 20% or more, which felt unreasonable given that we did most of the work while we were there. I also dislike self-checkout at markets; I’m not there to work. When I go out to eat, I want to engage with the staff and discuss the beer – isn’t that what Tired Hands is known for? This experience was the final straw. We won’t be returning.

Not typically one to review and the handful of times I have been were okay prior, but recently one of the bartenders made my friends and I very uncomfortable. He brought us our beer. He barely spoke and the interaction was odd but fine. Same bartender brought our second round and my friend saw a large tattoo of a machine gun or assault rifle on his arm. We decided to quickly finish our beer and grab food elsewhere. I've enjoyed stopping in when I'm in the area, but this was a concerning experience. Book a table now

Didn't get to see what the beer food was like because we were supposed to scan a QR code to see the menu and order. Why? I was there with my boomer parents who were totally befuddled and so was I. I have to enter my name and email address into an app just to get a sandwich and then have you spam me for a hundred years? Infuriating, inconsiderate, and inaccessible to so many. We just walked out.
