I booked in advanced and had to wait 40 minutes for a table, what is the point in booking if you still have to wait. Once we got in we were sat at a table that was not clean and sticky. Waiting for drinks was a further 20 minutes and had to cue 40 minutes for the buffet. The buffet was horrendous the food was awful and dry and they where throwing the food on the plates and it fell everywhere. Instead of placing the food they where stacking it so I had a full plate of carrots as a top layer and had to try and divide it to eat it! The food at the restaurant was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful. However, we experienced a long wait in the carvery queue, about 20 minutes. Although we understand that Sunday teatime can be a busy time, with 6 o'clock being particularly popular, we felt unfairly delayed by people ahead of us who were filling containers to take out, despite not having booked. We wondered if implementing a separate system for takeaway orders could help improve the waiting time for dine-in customers. Despite this issue, we overall enjoyed our meal and found the restaurant to be clean and the staff to be friendly.
the personal was very pleasant, professional and friendly. eating was absolutely amazing and the service was top notch. the waiting period for a Sunday was not so bad, and the whole staff made sure that we were in order with our table, eating and drinking.
It was a hot day and the restaurant was very quiet, I’m guessing this why the food was dried up and some of it inedible. We were very disappointed because we were looking forward to eventually going for carvery the first time since lockdown

eating was excellent, but I felt the pub was not very clean. the bottom of the plates was dirty, our table was dirty and the seat on which we sat, had a huge rib and was padded with a tape of ape, also dirty.
I would definitely do it again service was really good and people really nice. Didn’t have to wait to long for anything and could sit with my friends with little to no noise.
It was cold, there just pile your food anywhere on the plate, it looks a mess, The food no taste to it, won't be going back, the food looks like it been there hours.
As always excellent food and very welcoming very friendly staff, very nice surroundings, very good food choice and well cooked. Would definitely go again
