I'm disappointed to say that since the renovation, we have visited the Knowle Toby three times. The last visit was the worst. Upon entering, we had to wait to be seated. Last Saturday, we waited over 10 minutes to be seated. There was only one person looking after the tables. After waiting for about 15 minutes, I had to ask if we could go straight up to get our food. It was then that they took our drink order. The carvery area was not clearly marked, and some people were going through the exit instead of the entrance. The quality of the food has been decreasing, and the amount of meat served is inconsistent. When we returned to our table, we found that the food was lukewarm. We are not ones...
Stay in many hotels attached to Toby carvery but don’t eat the food because I don’t like meat kept under heat lamp. I think it’s just not the thing to do I like my food to come out hot And up there it’s just not ever been, there had it couple of times for functions with friends had a little bit of their desserts, but as I said it’s never warm enough I just feel like it could be so much better. It looks good but doesn’t taste that good once again, I think this is all down to it, not being hot enough for me if you like luke warm food get stuck in if you don’t, I wouldn’t bother
Came here last Thursday for a carvery with 3 friends. Must say the place looks a lot better now it’s been refurbished. It was my friends Jacob’s birthday and they all wished him a happy birthday which was a nice touch, food was piping hot, chefs were nice too. Spot on well done The Wilson Arms! I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. I would recommend going there for lunch. The atmosphere was also good, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere a 4 out of 5. I recommend trying the Carvery dish.
