We discovered this place because it was included in our Australia guide, and I must say that we were pleasantly surprised! The restaurant is located in the central area of Cairns, at first glance it may seem the usual place for tourists but the food is very good, with an excellent quality-price ratio, fast service and friendly staff (including an Italian guy) who can advise you on the choice of dishes. We took a vegetable tempura, very good but above all the fried is not absolutely heavy, a mixed portion of the famous ravioli, all very tasty and I personally recommend those with potatoes and cheese. Premise: the place is recommended by Lonely Planet and is in the center. We met here an Italian guy, Alessandro, who works there. He was very nice and also gave us advice on what to do in Cairns. The dumplings are very good, the cost is low. The restaurant is simple but well-kept and recently renovated. It's not just a take away anymore but it has tables to eat there. Absolutely recommended.
Not only dose Tokyo dumpling offer some of the nicest food I've come across they are excellent value for money. I can share a meal for less than $20 with a friend and be totally stuffed. Definitely would recommend to anyone I always get a teriyaki rice bowl with miso soup and dumplings but honestly everything smells and looks amazing.
Came here after reading reviews on Happy Cow. I had steamed vegetable dumplings - which were so good. And hubby was happy with his prawn ones. We also really enjoyed the complimentary dumpling chips. We sat outside since it was a nice night.

At 46 Lake St., this Japanese restaurant serves a variety of exquisite quality food, gyozas, ramen and all kinds of sushi, sashimi, etc. Good price and perfect attention. And how good to be able to have an Asahi !!!!!
Went to Tokyo Dumpling and were positively surprised. The service was very friendly and quick, the food very good (we had dumplings, fried rice, rice bowl with chicken), and the price very reasonable. Good choice!
I dropped in for lunch and ordered steamed dumplings and 'gyozas' pan-fried ones. The pork gyozas were a stand out for me. The steamed ones were a little tasteless. Would definitely order the gyozas again.
Had dinner here recently and the food was amazing! We tried a few dishes between up and it was plenty. The service was excellent and they were very helpful. Would definitely recommend and we will be back!
