I had the duck. It was literally half of a duck, so it was a good portion. Unfortunately it was a touch exaggerated. Most skin was crispy, which was at least positive. It was served with a little cabbage that was the only herbal component, and these strange "dumplings". These tasted like white bread directly from the supermarket shelf into pieces. It was bizarre, definitely not the dumplings I expected. Grief

The atmosphere in the main room is pretty good - the side room is missing a bit. I have ordered the hunter schnitzel with veal without crumbs and was pretty impressed! The plate had a "homemade" feeling, and the veal was cooked to perfection. The potato puree was delicious as the mushroom sauce - if a bit salty. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A negative point was that the fruit flies hummed around our table. All in all, it was a good experience.

Great beer and European food! Nowhere else to do get the authentic experience from a bar/restaurant in Sydney as most (if not all ) these types of restaurants have disappeared.
For the traditional dishes I would have a small breakfast/lunch as you won't be hungry when you leave.

I visited Tommy's last night and had a great night. Beautiful food, big selection of Czech beers. The service was fantastic and very friendly. The decor was very European and the massive beer garden would be a great idea of hot summer days to relax and enjoy a refreshing beer. I would not hesitate to recommend Tommy's everyone.
Food was not great. If you are in potato and sausage, you will like it. But even then it was average. Crisp was not crisp, but tough, as it was left, and the air had stolen it. Not sure why it gets so high ratings?!

One of the best beer gardens in Sydney. Great European beers / food and friendly staff. Always feel welcome here. A great random place to relax and have a few beers.
Great place and ambience. Loved the motto feel of the place. The Swiss veal Schnitzel was a treat. Paired with a great beer and we have a winning combination.
