My family and I ordered from here tonight and have had the worst experience ever. We ordered off Menulog, our order contained sweet sour chicken and wontons. When our order was delivered it and was barely warm and to top it off half way though my meal I started to feel like I had eaten shall fish which I'm highly allergic too. We then check the other family member food only to find that the wonton was not at all wontons but prawns which luckily I hadn't eaten,but must have been cook with chicken. We then rang Long Tok to talk to them about the fact of the wontons being prawns and not wonton as people know it to be. Arrived to pick up telephone order. Restaurant was only quarter full with patrons. No staff in sight. After a few minutes I was greeted by a waiter who then wetn out to kitchen for my order. Returned a nfew minutes later to announce that they had run out of plain rice. New batch would take a further 20 - 25 minutes. Agreed to swap to fried rice. He went out to arrange that. A couple arrived for dinner and were left standing for over 5 minutes, while waiter served tables. Another patron arrived to pick-up ordered take away. Another staff member came out and attended to him totally ignoring the couple standing there. Eventually they were seated at a table set for 4. Waiter brought out my order...
Saw the place was under "New Management", its local so gave it a try with friends. Menu well presented and each course excellent. They have a very capable chef out back. The test will be how they handle it when it gets busier....deservedly so.Young man out front excellent and attentive. Great local place a step above expectation.
A surprisingly good meal for just 10$. Tasty noodles!The atmosphere was on the other hand not impressive, pretty dark and sad. We visited during afternoon, so maybe a bit early to get the right feeling.. however, a good place to eat for a budget traveller!They offer take-away as well.

A friend told me about Tong Lok so I thought I'd try it. Glad I did. Inexpensive, good food and quality service. Can't ask for much more than that. Recommended for those not wanting to spend a lot of money to get good Chinese food.
