So I 've been a fan of Torchy 's for a while, my go-to spot being the one off Preston Rd in North Dallas. I 've indulged in both breakfast and lunch/dinner tacoliciousness in the recent past. Having moved, we decided to try the Torchy 's closer to home for some breakfast grubbery. Enter Forest Ln location. Ordered online as usual, for a swift pick up and run to the casa house to fatten my Mexican belly. Once I got home, salivating as you would come to expect, I opened the bag of goodies and my heart broke to pieces as I saw the teeny tiny tacos that I 've never been used to from Torchy 's. They almost looked like play tacos that my nieces would make on their own, for Barbie taco time. Heartb...

So I really wanted to like this place. I 'm vegetarian, I 've ordered the queso w no MEAT twice. Both times when I got home I realized they added meat to it I live 20 mins away. Both times they asked me did I want to come back, No. why make a more inconvience for me when I can 't even eat the food? When I called the store, I told them the girl who took my order said it 's not my fault blamed it on the cooks in the back. I know I should 've double checked but I didnt think they can be that careless to add meat when I make sure it 's known that I 'm vegetarian! I 'll never go back to this store. They don 't seem to care about their customers food, they just want the money. Don 't go here.

I used to have to go to Austin for work a lot many years ago and have so many fond memories of breakfast tacos at Torchy's. Back then the lines were always long, but the tacos were well worth it. There's now a Torchy's in Dallas just down the street from my in-laws and my family ends up eating there for breakfast or lunch at least once when we visit. On our most recent visit we offered a variety of tacos and burritos and everyone was full and happy. I got the migas without the tortilla, which was great....although even better with the tortilla. Glad to see they've branched out around Texas....Chicago next please??

This location is a little hard to find, we had to circle the parking lot a bit. It's attached behind the Potbelly's; same building, just on the side that doesn't face the road. Torchy's originated in Austin, and it looks like they've expanded to great success. They make higher-end tacos with creative names and fillings. You can generally stipulate whether you want corn or flour tortillas. Two tacos is sufficient for a meal. You can get three if you're really hungry. I got the breakfast taco (jalapeño sausage, egg, and cheese) and the fried avocado taco. Note: Breakfast tacos are served all day! Book a table now

I was in the mood for some delicious tacos, and this place truly satisfied my craving. I indulged in the Carnitas and Baja shrimp tacos, accompanied by a side of chips and guacamole. Each taco had the perfect balance of flavor and heat when I added the sauces and salsas. I'm already looking forward to returning to Torchy's the next time I'm in the area. In addition to the tasty tacos, the service was excellent, and the restaurant was well-maintained and tidy during my visit to pick up my dinner.

I'm not certain if the owner of Torchy's is aware that his staff requires DoorDash delivery drivers to pour the drinks for customer orders themselves. This practice seems questionable, especially since the driver isn't licensed in the food industry, which may not comply with Texas regulations. As a customer, would you really want that?

I decided to try a new taco from the secret menu called the Ace of Spades, and I highly recommend it. It features jalapeño sausage, beef, and a runny egg yolk wrapped in two flour tortillas. I also ordered my usual, the Democrat, which never disappoints. There are some cravings that only Torchy's can satisfy!

Food was amazing as always. However, I was highly impressed with Colton, who brought me my order personally after the DoorDash driver stole it. Even threw in a couple free taco cards. High level customer service! Book a table now

Torchy's is a place you must visit. Their tacos are not traditional tacos but they are very delicious and unique. I personally enjoyed the Salmon taco. Enjoy!
