I was looking for something a bit different when I came across this place. You aren't immediately taken by the décor as you enter white artex everywhere. However, don't let this put you off. I ordered the cochinta pibil (a kind of stew) and it came with four warm tortillas and some chillies on a side plate. That was followed by rice pudding and together with two glasses of red wine came to a shade over €20. You can't really argue with that! Staff were pleasant, especially the young guy who helped me with my (very) broken Spanish.
Being from California, with much travel in Mexico, we wondered whether this restaurant would meet our expectations. It surpassed them. The Mexican chef outdid what we often get in California with rich moles, the BEST guacamole we've ever had, combined with a happy atmosphere and special Guatamlan proprieter. We highly recommend Totol Naj!!
Restaurante de comida mexicana auténtica hecha por un mexicano de Veracruz. La comida buenísima, el café de olla espectacular. Una atención de 10 por parte de todo el personal. El precio súper bien. Le pondría 10 estrellas si pudiera. Volveremos!
Fantastic little restaurant just around the corner form my hotel in Valladolid. The food is simple but delicious and you can just keep ordering a new plate if you are still hungry. The owner is a lovely lady and she will give you good advice

El local es muy conocido por mi, siendo La Puñeta, ya había comido allí (y muy bien), pero ahora es... Espectacular! Autentica comida mexicana, muy buen ambiente y buen precio. Eso sí, os recomiendo reservar para cualquier día (se llena).
La comida era muy auténtica y muy buena, el servicio fue rápido y el ambiente era fantástico.
Lugar con una bonita decoración. La comida y la atención son muy buenas.
