6 stars for history! The TownHouse has a wild history dating all the way back to the 1920's, and they've preserved hints of it with an antique phone booth, old timey wooden sections, and likely more that I overlooked. The food was delicious, but not worth the price. The menu is a pretty basic/standard for any upscale American restaurant since the ~1990's charcuterie board, lollipop lamb chops, tuna tartare, mussels, salads, several pastas, a burger, fish chips, steak, fish, chicken piccata, and pork chops with apple sauce. We came out to E-ville for dinner and found this spot on Yelp. We found parking right out front on a quiet street. Didn't look like much from the outside but once we went in, it was a pleasant surprise. Large homey dining room and a full size bar. We were seated quickly and greeted by a friendly server. We started with the Ahi Tartare, had a Wedge Salad, the cioppino, the burger, and fish and chips. Nice mixed crowd started to fill the room. There's a large patio as well. The Tartare was really good, as was the Wedge. Fish and chips were crispy with large thick pieces of ling cod, I think. The burger and fries were good too. Over the years, I have very much enjoyed the Townhouse. The menu is dependable good mix of grilled meats, pastas, fish. Nice selection have never had a bad dish. I usually meet two girlfriends here for dinner and the wait staff are attentive yet not overwhelming. It is a comfortable spot for those in the know There's a small patio maybe tables, for outside seating on warm evenings. The only think I do not like about the Townhouse is a recent experience. It is extremely difficult to reach the restaurant by phone. Three days in a row. This may be a new or temporary problem, but very annoying nonetheless.
They have good food and romantic vibes. They get extremely busy though so it gets very hard to get the server's attention. Expect a wait to get seated, to order, to get your food, etc. I recommend their ribs their homemade sauce is the bomb. I also order their meatball appetizer almost every time I go. They have a small parking lot but there is street parking around too. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I'm so loving this place! The food is phenomenal, service excellent and ambiance beautiful and romantic since had a wonderful date night there. It's so so good and comparable to dishes we had in Italy. Had the spaghetti with mushrooms, brussel sprouts and chicken Alfredo which were all excellent and so fresh.
loves this restaurant! the prices are reasonable. the service is solicitous. there is something so cozy that there is to eat there. we eat on the deck because we bring robbie. our golden doodle. we always leave with a dog bag, because portions are very plentiful.
