"It was our first time visiting this cute little brewery/ pub. The bartender was very welcoming, very knowledgeable with their beers. Disappointing there was no cider there, so had to watch my husband have a beer while I had water. Understandable given the time of year, the staff says Spring time they will have more. Cute place!"

My girlfriend and I have stopped here a couple of times now when we rendezvous in PR for a catch up. The place has a great vibe and we were happy to see that they were open for drinks with COVID precautions in place. Though the building is lovely, the staff knowledgeable about their products/friendly enough, their beer tasty (all to be expected, to be fair they only get three stars from us... Sadly they do not cater at all for anyone who doesn't drink craft beer (my pal is a cider girl but I love their stouts, porters, etc. It's a shame there isn't a partnership with one of the local cideries Brickers comes to mind. One star down for lack of initiative there! I know they are not a pub but th...

Townsite Brewing is located in Powell River BC in the historical district. The brewery itself is located inside the old historical Post Office Building and government building. This cool old brick building was great for a brewery as there was little to no wood used in construction so there is no worry of for or mildew with wood. When you walk into the brewery you will enter their tasting room. There is not cost for tasting their current lineup of beer within reason of course. They sell their beer here as well as some swag like shirts and stickers. You are able to also take a free tour of the brewery if they have staff and or brew masters on hand to show you around. They only make craft beer...

I don't drink so I can't say much about the beer. My friends do and they like it. There are definitely more options now. Besides beer, there are cider, radler, wine, cocktail and non alcoholic drinks like kombucha, alcohol free beer, lemon soda, sparkling water and juice boxes. The main stuff is still beer though with many different flavors. We noticed if you asked for the beer to drink at the beer garden at the back, you get less beer due to the mason jar used. If drinking inside the tasting room, it will be served in a glass. We only saw that when the staff had to transfer the beer from the glass to the mason jar after we said we would like to drink outside. The beer garden was nice. There...

Great Beer Great Ambiance. Stopped in to Townsite Brewing today to check out what all the fuss was about. Am I ever glad I did. Great beer served by a nice Gentleman. The location is very easy to find, in the main townsite between the old Patricia Theater the mill. Here you'll find several different types of beer on tap, you can buy it by the glass or growler. Also they sell many in bottles as well, including the award winning Porter. Enjoy.
