I took a couple of friends to dinner before going to the theatre as did many people. The restaurant was fully booked and extremely busy so I am very glad I booked a table the day before. We all chose the carvery and although we had a bit of a wait for more vegetables and gravy, I must say the food and staff were excellent. One of my friends had not been here before and she was very impressed. Well done to all the staff who were all very busy but very efficient We will definitely be coming back
Disappointing, took a friend for a birthday treat, we had the carvery, the beef was so tough couldn’t cut with knife, took it back gave us some more beef but it was tough again took it back gave us some turkey/chicken. Was going to have a dessert but decided not to. Also don’t ask when paying if you would like to leave a tip before your meal ,and why pay more at weekends for carvery, for the same meal, not like it used to be there. Disappointing.
Popped in for a carvery. Had already booked they couldn’t find the booking but quickly found us a table and assisted in placing the wheelchair user. Disabled toilet was abit untidy but useable. The carvery was lovely young chef was chatty and helpful. Meat was just right with huge Yorkies. Really enjoyed the meal.
We had booked a table to celebrate our 42nd valentines day. Whilst stood at the booking table a bearded man shouted over to say he didn't have any room. I said we had booked a table. The carvery was very poor quality. The food was warm and the roast potatoes over cooked and burnt. We did not feel welcomed. Book a table now
Very poor selection of desserts. Staff not particularly welcoming and weren't made aware on booking that there was a quiz on. Couldn't have the conversation we'd hoped for.
We waited 1 and a half hours for our food which then did not come out together. This is really unusual for the trading post as the service is normally quite god.
Always a lovely carvery at the trading post. Love the roast potatoes. I also had vegan coconut ice cream as I’m intolerant to milk so that was a bonus. Lush
Carvery was shocking only two chefs, two behind bar staff walking out get your act together it used to be so good. Took forever to get food and drinks Book a table now
