Spoilt for choice with traditional Austrian cuisine at its very best. Menu in German (with English translation) covers all the classical dishes (across a wide range of soups, main courses and deserts). Setting is stylishly rustique, very quiet (at lunchtimes at least), service very prompt...given all dishes freshly cooked, It's located about meters away from the cable car up to the Schatzberg, but about a million psychic meters away from the overcrowded hamburger joints right by the cable car station spilling over with skiers keen on fast food that isn't very fast arriving because of the crowds.
After walking to Auffach, from Oberau we opted to give this place a try and so glad we did Menu's had English translation which was a bonus. Sat in beer garden and had a couple of drinks, before we started walking again. Great...location in centre of Auffach and close to the cable car If ever back in the area, we will definitely return
The Traditionsgasthaus Weissbacher serves traditional Austrian food but also in a vegan version. The dishes are really excellent and not too expensive. The service is very friendly and try hard to fulfill your wishes. Very recommendable.
Service war nett und zuvorkommend, das Essen war in Ordnung aber nichts Besonderes. Das Preisniveau kam uns recht hoch vor.
