Early evening dinner on a rainy night. We hadn't reserved but the way the place filled up it would seem to be a good idea, especially at weekends when Tegernsee gets very busy. It was noticeable that a lot of locals seem to eat here...although it was Monday when many restaurants were closed. No English is spoken and the menus are only German. We ordered main courses with one mixed salad to come with them. We were then given two salads one green, one mixed. Shortly after we'd finished these along with some nice garlic flatbread and local beer, we were presented with two main courses entirely different to what we'd ordered. Just a little bit away from the tourists area you will find this family owned Italian restaurant. If you enjoy really well cooked cucina casalinga then please go there. If you ask for red sauce with your Carbonara and a diet coke then please stay...away because you don't deserve a restaurant like this. Their big antipasto is a bargain with all the different dishes on one plate, vegetarian. Pizza bianco fatto casa comes with it. Nice hand made pastadishes with fresh summer truffles and calfa liver with a crema di tartufo and fresh funghi porcini. Nice wines by the glass and attentive service with a smile. We had lunch and came back for dinner after a great swim in die Tegernsee!
