Making a reservation here doesn’t mean much which is why I can’t give them 5 stars. We had a reservation at 12:45 on a Sunday and waited 30 minutes for a table. I do believe they were short wait or kitchen staff because they had a lot of people waiting with multiple empty seats. The prices for the most part are reasonable. $9 up charge for 3 shrimp was a little outrageous. Overall though we ordered the calamari, carbonara, salmon piccata and stuffed gnocchi. Would recommend all the dishes they were great. The inside of the restaurant is super cut with a lower and upper level. They also have an outdoor courtyard. I have been coming to Villagio for years as my sister lives in Clifton VA. Very disappointed by the service and conduct of the greeters ALL 3 young girls which later the manager told me they are all new and untrained In my opinion it was an excuse. We had brought in guests from overseas but felt so insulted when we were taken to the worst place on the back corner while 95% of the back patio was empty she was rude and unprofessional. I think this happens when you expand business and trade quality for quantity/ and lose years of loyal customers. Takes a long time to build good reputation, few instances to destroy it. Fortunately we were upstairs where it was more quiet on a busy 5PM Wednesday. Food was excellent, we all enjoyed the soup of the day, the specialty ravioli, the steak, and Salmon Piccata. Savana was excellent in advising us on the different options and so very patient with our questions while busy, attentive, and extremely personable. Certainly a staple in Clifton and one which we will always return.
Wow, so impressed by this restaurant, but more impressed by our server, Thomas. He waited on my family back in early May, and he was so exceptional. I meant to do this months ago and I forgot. I will be back soon and will request Thomas to be our server again.

This place is wonderful. Come in and have a drink with Bill. He makes everyone feel comfortable. I would come back just to hangout with the bar staff. Absolutely top notch just like the food. Oh also half price wine on Monday.
I drove 40 min to eat here, it worth it ?, I recommend the white anchovies, and carbonara, service very professional and attentive from hostess to server Savana. Thank you !
Everything was excellent. Food, atmosphere and service. A wonderful place to celebrate my birthday. We will be back!
