I've visited Tre several times now, so my review may be a bit detailed. It's a fantastic spot for gatherings with friends, conveniently located across from the Foster and Spalding bus lines. I've never experienced being ignored by the servers or hosts, and I haven't faced long wait times for seating or food. The food is delicious; although the regular menu is on the smaller side, they typically have 5 or 6 rotating specials. The portion sizes are generous, especially the quiche and side sausages. Although reservations are an option, I've never encountered a wait at this restaurant. Despite being clearly understaffed, and the need for management to better support their employees, all the ser...

This was my first experience at Tre Kronor. Immediately upon arrival I was greeted by 2 servers who genuinely seemed happy to be there and happy to see my wife and I. I had a simple order, hash and eggs and some soup to start, my wife tried one of their famous quiches. I never write reviews about places I go to eat but I cannot go on without the world hearing my opinion on this place. Our servers name was Baby Mack and she was the most excellent server I have ever had in my 42 years of life. She was a great conversationalist, made both my wife and I super comfortable as well as making us laugh. She seemed very on top of everything she was doing (keeping all the customers happy and making sur...

Charming little restaurant with excellent food and a wonderful atmosphere. We chose to sit indoors, but next time we might opt for the outdoor seating. Our daughter discovered this place, and we decided to give it a shot. Between the three of us, we tried the Pannekaker pancake (crepe), the quiche of the day (broccoli cheddar), and the Reubenssen sandwich. We also had the Dutch onion soup, which was absolutely fantastic. Everything was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely return when we're back in town and would highly recommend it to everyone.

Every time I've been to Tre Kronor, it's been a wonderful experience. The food, service, and ambiance are all outstanding. If you arrive and see a crowd, don't be discouraged—the line typically moves swiftly, and there's more seating beyond the initial room. Everything I've tried has been delicious, and the portion sizes are perfect, just as the servers' shirts suggest. It's one of my favorite spots for a cozy atmosphere where I can have a great conversation with a friend. Book a table now

This was one of the food highlights of our visit to Chicago. Good quality ingredients made for good quality meals. Service was friendly and efficient. Perhaps the one downside was that it was virtually pointless looking at the menu, as most of the options were in the specials which weren’t written down anywhere and were reeled off in a long list by the server. Unfortunately I had to ask her to repeat them several times as I struggled to catch them all.

Great for breakfast, brunch, lunch. Amazing crab cakes benedict on the weekends. Some wonderful Swedish specialties, home made Danish and desserts, and delicious regular coffee.Service is sometimes slow, and the place gets crowded. There's a nice Swedish gift shop across the street where you can browse while you wait for a table though. Pretty chill North side neighborhood, usually ample street parking.

one of our favorite brunch spots and of course they have not disappointed. the stockholmer omelette is ideal for meat lovers and the Belgian waffel is ideal for those who prefer sweet for the breakfast. if they live on the north side of chicago, then visit this place! such a sweet little place with fabulous seating in summer and super friendly staff.

What a delightful spot for breakfast! We shared a warm homemade cinnamon roll and had omelette and traditional egg dishes. The spicy sausage was excellent. Fast service, charming servers! Can’t wait to go back!! Book a table now
