We went to Trees for an early Sunday breakfast, and it was wonderful! Our waitress was friendly and really accommodating....I am really indecisive in restaurants, so when it was possible to have two different single Eggs Benedict, it was no problem! They were scrumptious...I had one with a crab cake, and home made cheese bread under it instead of an English muffin, and one with their home made sausage. Yummiest Bennies I have ever had! Wow! Crab cakes that actually taste like crab, instead of filler! Perfectly spiced sausage and some of the best hollandaise I have had!!! My husband and son also devoured their breakfasts. We will definitely be going back!
This resto is on the route to Coombs but still in Parksville. It is not touristy; I saw the locals and regulars come in for breakfast. The breakfast menu is extensive. Moreover, there are freshly-baked pastries and rolls at the counter. The server Emily said that the eggs benedicts are the most popular items. But last night's Shepherd pie at Black Goose Inn influenced by choice of Cornish pasty and the spicy chix roll. My wife had the crabcake benedict. All the choices were tasty and fair-priced.This resto appears to be at a main junction of streets. Parking is easy.I would not hesitate to return and try the other offerings.
I visit this restaurant often...the owners are wonderful. Sue is the baker...everything is baked from scratch..fresh breads, scones, muffins, pies, samosas, meat pies and tons of other goodies. Their meals are also made to order with fresh ingredients including fresh cut fries...yum. Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also has the occasional music night. Easily located on the Alberni Hwy with lots of parking. Try this one out next time you are in our area..you won't be disappointed.
The parking lot full of cars attracted our eye first but after we stuck our heads in the door we knew we had to give the place a try. First we saw the bakery goods displayed at the front door, then we heard the music and found out they were having a Open Mic night with local musicians then we saw all the happy people. Great ambiance, good down home cooking with generous portions and a entire bakery for numerous dessert choices. Can't beat that. Book a table now
A very good roadside diner complete with booths.The food was good and tasty and the portions large enough. Some unusual items on the menu which was a pleasant surprise.Service was very good.They also sell bread, pastries, cordials so a bit of a deli as well.Only downside was they stop serving breakfast items at 11.00am so even though we called in for a late breakfast we missed out by 5 mins and had to order from the lunch menu.
Scrambled egg sandwich was tasty although like so many older style GF breads it was falling apart. The only GF baked goods were trays of small peanut butter cookies and eatmore bars. They definitely didn’t look nearly as tasty as the full gluten ones did. Before you say that’s normal you should go to Ladysmith and Wild Poppy bakery where everything is GF and looks and tastes amazing.
I ordered a corned beef (Rueben) sandwick and chips. The rye bread was marbelized and the food was good. The service was prompt and the restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere
