If you're going here , don't try the Indian or vaguely Chinese sounding dishes . Go for the real Sri Lankan stuff . The Kottu Roti - (ribbons or pieces of roti stir fried with spices , veg and occasionally egg and meat ) is nice . The beef biriyani is pretty tasty as well but don't expect a heavy North Indian dum or layered biriyani. My partner and I both enjoyed the weekend lunch buffet , having eaten South Indian food for most of his life he was very pleasantly surprised- be warned though the buffet is mostly vegetarian and tends to get a lot of customers,.

Horrible place and food. Briyani was served cold with a small piece of chicken. And when we went to pay, the guy at the counter charged extra saying that the price is based on a separate dine-in menu which was not given to us! The menu given to us as shown stated Dine-in & Takeaway. Very disappointing! Will never come back again!

Trinco Star was first recommended by a Sri Lankan colleague for affordable traditional neighbourhood gem frequented by Sri Lankan and Indian ex pats. Expect 'traditional service' and modest restaurant and food. Pictured below is the kottu roti (shredded roti stir fry), dosa, and chai masala. Book a table now

Authentic South Indian food, tastes homely. Don't miss the Sunday lunch buffet. Loads of options for vegetarians, and meat curry lovers. Best to make reservations!

I ordered food to takeaway. The food was great. The price is reasonable. I Loved the biriyani. I will definitely buy again and recommend it to other people.

Finally made it to The Apo! Been wanting to check it out for a while (well since they started posting about their Aperol Spritz Ice Pops LHB) and happy to Book a table now

The APO housed in the space where the old Doc Martens shop used to be (for those who remember), and inside an 1862 heritage listed building, is the latest
