WOW! So I made reservations at First Watch, but hubby changed it and said let?s try a local place, so he found Trips Diner. Beyond impressed by the food, menu variety, staff, Mrs Jenny was wonderful etc. Could not have been a better choice. Chicken Biscuits/Home-Fries, Eggs Benedict Traditional, Sausage Biscuits/Gravy, Bacon, French Toast and the BEST in my opinion were the CHEESE GRITS! Never had it before, and now the bar was set up. Will definitely be one of our family top 5 restaurants here in St. Pete.
on Monday to brunch. we took the spot right away. the waitress was great. service was prompt and friendly. I have garnel and grits with a French toast. my friend has that huh and wad. the garnel and grits were good. I think I would. ve enjoyed the plate even more when the cheese was melted in the pour. but it had good aromen. also the French toast was very good. Hehn and waffeln: the chicken was in order, but the waffel was fluffy and delicious.
I 'm staying at The Empress Motel a few blocks away and walked here in minutes.... went in and was immediately told to sit anywhere I like. I always get excited at a diner style restaurant that smells like my grandmother 's cooking. The service was fast from order to table and the servers here are really sweet. Marcie was amazing and made me feel at home. Love you guys Thank you for all you do!?????
Great breakfast place. Parking is quite annoying and there is always a waiting time, but that shows it is worth going. Quick breakfast with large drinks. The pancakes are HUGE! Not expensive, decent prices. You have mimoses, but not **** Mary? I would say about half the staff is friendly, the other half seems easy to take care or show a lot of personality.
