We went for a dinner on Saturday evening and were sitting in the garden. Our dog was more than welcome to join. It is a question of comparison. For German standards it is a really good restaurants with friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. It was nice to eat something else than a schnitzel or a variation on that. But don't expect a French star restaurant. We have chosen the degustation menu. The prices are fair: four courses without wine 53 and with wine 79 euros. And we were not hungry for desert. And more importantly, you could see and taste that someone really tried to come up with a good quality and nicely presented dish.

I have driven by this restaurant several times but it didnt look very nice from the outside and locationwise. We had a workdo here and it was really lovely inside. The people are friendly, and the food is imaginative and fun. I had a tomatoconsomme with dumplings, which was nice and we had goose, very well done while my collegue had fish which was lovely presented. The desserts were really great too, good taste and good looks! I always doubt restaurants that do worldfood as it can turn out a bit messy but i thought the menu was not too big, they two nice menus which were about 35 euros for 3 courses.

We went for the first time on the basis of reviews here. Tristan is indeed a very nice restaurant. Price/quality ratio is in order. Prices are not low but quality of food is nice. We had the degustation menu with a wine arrangement. It all tasted well. Service was friendly. Dishes are nicely thought out and not your traditional dishes but rather with a special swing to it. Overall wel worth it. We will try again early next year when the menu will have changed.

The food and the wine are great here. The chef certainly knows how to season his creations. We had duck this time. The restaurant is not too big and so the service is more personal than in larger restaurants it is also quieter as a result. The menu is not very long and you can order single dishes from the menu recommendations I have never had problems finding something. A three course dinner for €39 is very fair for this quality. I thoroughly recommend it.
