We decided to have a small family lunch at True North Diner on a Sunday. We arrived around noon and the restaurant was quite busy. They offer a breakfast buffet on the weekends for $20 for adults, although we can't recall the price for children. The buffet included typical breakfast items like eggs, muffins, home fries, sausage, and bacon. Additionally, they have a breakfast menu you can order from with various breakfast plates. We chose to order off the menu and we were all very satisfied with our choices. From the Clubhouse sandwich to the Nathan's hot dog, the kid's chicken finger meal, and especially the Smash burgers, we were all happy with our meals. The fries and onion rings were aver...

Food was great, a mix up in one meal but was fixed (other than the cook looking like he was blaming the poor guy serving the food). The young gentleman serving us was wonderful, the lady helping him could smile and seem like she cares. Have always had great food and service but a few employees seemed like they really didn't want to be there. Also, the lady help gave us a small container to cram our food into (didn't take it all because it didn't fit), but the order we got to go came in a larger plastic container and there wasn't as much in that as there was in my daughters leftovers. (Only had leftovers because her order was wrong and he food came as we were all finishing ours). Mine was inc...

I like the atmosphere at this nostalgic diner. Once again 50's 60's live music was appreciated. I had the liver and onions dinner. The liver served with bacon was tender and cooked well. Would definitely order that again. The only thing I am disappointed over is the disappearance of the hand cut fries. I was told they were not serving hand cut fries because of Covid 19. That is a bad excuse as other restaurants we have dined in lately do serve them. I would eat here more often again if decent hand cut fries were served again. Listen to your customers!

The hot turkey sandwich was plain hospital food. The sauce was tasteless, the bread was soggy topped with 12 frozen peas. The clubhouse was a little better but can't say it was good. The fries had a bad frozen taste. Our plates stayed under the warmer for a long time and the 3 waiters standing around all checked our plates and none brought our food to us. Would not recommend.
