Oh, I wanted to love this place. I placed an order online and was given a time to pickup. The pickup went smoothly, the parking lot in the back was full, but could park easily out front (weird, usually curb is packed) went to the front counter and said hello after a moment to catch the employee 's attention and said my name she pointed at my order without a smile or a word. Ok then. Took my order home to eat on the deck between my husband 's meetings. Opened the two REGULAR size bowls, they looked nice enough except that my regular bowl with 4 proteins had a bare spot of rice showing. What? I ordered: two kinds of tuna, octopus, and crab. The amount of crab was double that of the other three...

This restaurant is WAY too expensive. Unlike at other poke bars, their counter servers weigh proteins on the scale and even go so far as transferring pieces of fish from your plate back into the tray where they came from! SMH On top of that, their sauces are terribly salty and not particularly tasty or flavorful. In addition, they don't offer furikake, sesame seeds, macadamia nuts or any other fabulous shakers that are readily available at other poke bars. Lastly, their crab salad is considered a protein choice where as, in other locations, it's generally included as a free option. All told, I'd spend an obscene $24 dollars on a regular bowl containing 5 ounces of fish along with a small bag...
The best poke this side of the Bay! Easily! Most of the ingredients are made in the kitchen from scratch (like the purple pickled onions or daikon), and the proteins are fresh each and every time!! I've eaten here no less than once a week, for over 2 years now, and have never had a bad experience. Other perks: *They have oysters on the shell that are also incredibly fresh and super flavorful. *They have Happy Hour- discounted wine, beer, and oysters- Monday through Friday, 3-6pm. (I believe those are the hours. Call to check first). *They're a part of the Five Stars app program, so each time you order at the restaurant and use your Five Stars at check out, you earn points. The points add up...
Having been twice to this location on separate occasions one month apart, I can write with increased confidence that I wasn't just unlucky one time.First off, flavor wise and and toppings were great, at the very least, on par with what you could expect from a nice bowl of poke.My issue is with the quality of the salmon which is my choice of fish when it comes to poke and sushi alike. It's just not good. I don't really know what else to say.First visit, I got salmon from build your own bowl kind of thing. Second visit, I ordered seaweed salad, kimchi, and a pound of salmon togo since that was an option (wild mistake on my part). I'm assuming this is what non sushi grade salmon tastes like (no... Our team Doordash our order in for a long meeting. I haven’t had much poke, but even still it was quite delicious. The dressing was complicated, rich and flavorful. The protein portions were very generous. I like the vegetarian tofu option, but my coworkers who got fish remarked that the meat was not all that fresh. All of the toppings were crunchy, fresh and good quality. Personally I would have preferred more dressing, but the standard application was more than balanced. One of the most surprising aspects was the Kale Quinoa base. I was expecting something bland and unappetizing. But the greens actually added complexity to the bowl and mixed in great with the hot perfectly cooked rice. Wor...
It's ok. Reg bowls are a great size but they do not fill it up all the way considering how tall the lid is. Even worse, half of it is the base rice/noodle. One of the bowls I asked for two of the same fish and it looked like barely one portion. They really don't give enough fish and you get full mostly from the base. Overall not comparable to other poke places.
Truffle Poke Bar is the best poke bar in the San Mateo Foster City area! The food is awesome and there are a bunch of delicious ingredients to choose from. They have great service and take their COVID precautions very seriously.
Food was good and ingredients were fresh. Just docked one star because the portion was too small. For $20, you are better off going to Poke House. The truffle sauce was pretty good though. Book a table now
This is my favorite place to eat and the service and quality of the food is by far the best. The manager Yesi is always on point and will make sure you get everything you need.
Really nice poke bar with a variety of bowls, alcohol, and a good oyster selection. A great lunch spot!
