I really liked this place. My first time going and I'll be back. The service is very friendly and hospitable. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun.The food was great as well. My husband got the Nacho Peno burger and he inhaled it. The chips on it gave it unique crunch and he added some of their delicious sauces.I got pulled chicken with a side of candied brussel sprouts. Our wedding was this past weekend and since we arranged a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn adjacent to TST, we decided to have our rehearsal dinner there, as well as a buffet breakfast for our guests the morning after the wedding. My parents were skeptical breakfast at a bbq restaurant...bbq for the rehearsal dinner? But, everyone loved it! My family raved about the food! People couldn't stop eating. The waitstaff was phenomenal they kept the drinks coming, the food well stocked and they were personable and friendly. Had dinner here to try how the bbq is. Wife and I had the 4 meats combo and couple apps. Had the brisket, pulled pork, pulled chicken and ribs!....Brisket was cooked nearly to perfection with light seasoning.Pulled pork was season perfect!Chicken pulled pork was too saltyAnd the ribs was cooked to perfect and was tender.Had 2 side which was mac and cheese and baked beans- baked beans was amazing seasoned perfectly-mac and cheese was average could use more cheesy flavorAnd finally had nachos as app which we had the beef chili which was amazingOur server was great she got everything we needed and was actively checking that we had everything we neededSo overall good bbq and service was on point...
I'm from SC visiting family here and I Kno good BBQ. This place has fantastic brisket and pulled pork, I had a combo my wife had a combo I had one small slice of brisket enough pulled pork to maybe make a sandwich one piece of corn bread cake and coleslaw that was excellent the Mac and cheese my wife ordered was exactly like frozen Stouffer's Mac and cheese disgusting. you should definitely 86 the Mac and start over player. Your meats where great but coming from the south u normally get 3 slices brisket two or three good portions of pulled pork with some pickles or onion plus what ever sides u get. I'll definitely eat here again. Just hope the portion size goes up.

The menu looks promising, and since I’m always interested in trying out new BBQ spots, especially one in my neighborhood, I was eager to give this place a shot. I ordered some appetizers and a beer. I tried the Brisket Chili and the Slab Bacon bites. Unfortunately, the slab bacon was nearly inedible—tough like an overcooked steak. The Brisket Chili was decent, but the beer was just chilled in the fridge, rather than being served on ice, so it wasn’t as cold as I would have liked. I even had to speak with a manager to avoid being charged for the inedible bacon bites. Really? I truly want to like this place.
I met a friend for happy hour on Friday at 5:30 PM. The bartenders were engaged in conversation with regulars and didn't acknowledge us for quite some time. After we finally ordered our drinks and received them, we had to wait even longer to get our check because we were tired of waiting. When we finally told the male bartender that we were ready for our check, he simply said "okay," then put a cigarette in his mouth and walked out. We had intended to stay for food and more drinks, but we were discouraged by the lack of attention we received.
Ordered 2 sandwiches 1 pulled pork with bbq sauce slaw 1 brisket with spicy bbq sauce and a Mac cheese at 6:43 pm on Friday. The wait time stated 45 minutes which i was fine with. The food was not ready until after 8pm and it was dead inside while I waited. Got home neither sandwich had BBQ sauce or the slaw and were dry and mac cheese tasted nasty worse than Stouffers. Never again.
Surprise, surprise. Best pulled pork in the area. Really strong and good smokey flavor has me coming back for more. Friendly service. Returning for some more with that excellent cherry BBQ sauce on the side. Yum.

This restaurant is a must-visit! Be sure to ask for Charlie. I highly recommend trying the Uncle Nearest shot.
