I’m copying my review from Seamless because this experience was so frustrating. I placed my order at 5:57 PM. By 7:15 PM, I called to ask where my food was and was told it would arrive in 5 minutes. At 7:40 PM, I called again and was offered a 50% discount, with my food supposedly just 5 minutes away. At 8:10 PM, I called once more and was told the delivery guy’s bike broke down, so he was taking a cab—and my order would be free. It’s now 9:23 PM, and I ended up cooking a meal myself for my family of four and a friend’s family with five kids who have school tomorrow. This is probably the first or second review I’ve ever written in over 10 years using Seamless. I truly hope this restaurant go...
The to-go chicken from Tu Casa Express in Richmond Hill seems to be reheated leftovers, judging by both its taste and appearance. My Peruvian boyfriend and I ordered a whole chicken, paying extra for all white meat, but were disappointed to receive only four small white meat pieces, no green sauce, and no silverware or napkins. The small container of rice included was only enough for one person. Being familiar with Peruvian cuisine, we know a whole chicken typically includes both white and dark meat. The food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was very laid-back. The only reason I'm giving four stars is that the waitress wasn't attentive when we placed our orders initially. We had asked for separate checks upfront, but she missed it. When we requested separate checks again at the end, she made a big deal out of it. Nonetheless, we will definitely be coming back.
I had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. The food and service were exceptional. They took everyone's temperature and collected contact information before seating, which was reassuring. The wine selection was impressive, and there was delightful music playing outside. They even surprised me with a sparkler for my birthday celebration!
