Service although status quo the energy from the server was untoward for this customer. The individual acted as if they were being bothered when our order was taken but to their defense the attitude improved to better not great. Said waiting server delivered food to the wrong individual at our table, the individual didnt realize it wasn't for them until 3 spoons in, and got charged. True waiting staff should know who ordered what so as to avoid such a circumstance and further, the mistake should have been comp'd, not charged to the unsuspecting customer that never ordered the erroneously delivered meal. The food was good, nothing to write home about but still good. The rice and beans were a bit watery. The half chicken and tostones were average. The service was okay. Our server was very nice, but it seemed like she forgot about us after awhile lol, so I had to go up to her to get the check and pay for it. The ambiance was also okay. I think they're in the midst of changing their decor their tables are a little outdated compared to their neon signs and painted walls, but all in all it's fine. The prices were okay; a little bit pricey for quality of food, but not ridiculous. I'd come here again if I was hungry and just trying to get something quick.
Haven't been here since the pandemic and I have missed this place. Every time I go to Kew Gardens we like to eat here and I always get the same things. In the past I have tried the chupe (seafood soup), Maduros and the Colombian chorizo with tostones.My go-to meal is the pernil. I use the spicy green sauce on the table as my salad dressing and tostones dipper.. We sat in inthe covered outdoor area which was brighter than indoors.

My favorite dish here is the Lomo saltado. It was flavorful. Took my parents here and they loved it as well. The Sangria was perfect. Not too sweet. Service is always great and everyone is quite friendly. It's a casual atmosphere where some ppl get dressed up and some are super casual. I want to go back for their rotisserie chicken!
We've been coming here for 17 years. The food is always good, service is great and they really have the best sangria!! What puts everything over the edge is how they treat everyone like family.

Tu Casa has the best rotisserie chicken in Queens Ny. It's best with the yellow rice and beans. If you like it spicy, ask for the green sauce.
