Me and my boyfriend ate here during memorial day weekend. It was pretty crowded, but I was able to book a reservation 30 minutes before we arrived and we got right in. The food was actually pretty good. I had the chicken and waffles, and he had the shrimp and grits. We had a gumbo appetizer which was OK. We also had a appetizer of biscuits and they were delicious. The service was OK. We ordered a mimosa flight as soon as we sat down, I had to ask the server to check on it after about 30 minutes and he gave me a very snappy response. I ended up receiving my mimosa flight after my food had come out. All and all the food was good And service were decent.
I had a group of seven, so maybe our server wasn't used to the size. But she didn't seem engaged at all. The place wasn't crowded so she wasn't rushed. It took a while for our cocktails, and we had to ask for the proper amount of utensils. She gave off a vibe that she would rather be anywhere but there. Also, you need to update your website to list times because we were seated at 2:30 and was then told the food that we wanted would not be served until 3:00. The food was great, especially the gumbo. Just the service was not up to par.
Samuel took very good care of us, and was very patient while our party (some of whom had not seen each other in almost two years) chatted extensively before ordering and then during and after dinner. The pimiento cheese with chorizo appetizer was outstanding. We loved the fried chicken, mahi mahi, and pork chop entrees, and both the chocolate cake and banana pudding desserts were the perfect way to finish a delicious dinner!
Made a reservation wanting to be outdoors then refused to seat us outdoors. They finally offered a window seat which was fine. I Wish they would have called beforehand. Indoors was very loud. Said it was our birthday on the reservation and werent asked desert or given anything just thrown the check very hastily. Good food but subpar service.
We enjoyed the atmosphere and mimosas at this restaurant. The chicken and waffles were decent, but the gumbo was just okay. The coffee wasn't up to par. The service was mediocre. Despite this, we plan on giving this place another chance because we were fans of the ambiance.
I had a wonderful brunch at this restaurant. I always enjoy my meals here. The biscuits are a delightful appetizer. I chose the half chicken with Parmesan potatoes as a side, and everything was fantastic. Can't wait to come back again.
The food lacked quality, substance and taste. The waiter appeared to be new but that is only my assumption. There was no review of the menu, the specials that were offered and he was very forgetful.
We celebrated Father's Day with friends and had a wonderful experience, as always. We are looking forward to our next visit.
Good honest food. Service was good. Recommendations include the steak or the pork shoulder.
