One of our favorite restaurants on Market Square! We ordered the Hot Mac N Cheese Chicken Waffle, Meatloaf, Brussels sprouts and Fried Green tomatoes. All were great, although some small feedback on the Meatloaf. The meatloaf was very moist and flavorful however some that I personally am use to would have some sort of crisp or more of a crunch typically on the top, I feel it was only missing that but completely understanding if that’s not the style this meatloaf was going for! Our server was sweet and wonderful who made great recommendations! A must try if you are in the area!
The experience was exceptional from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfectly complementing the incredible food. We started with the fried pickles, a crispy and tangy delight that set the tone for the evening. The main course featured the standout dish: asheville fried chicken paired with mac cheese waffles—a deliciously indulgent combination that exceeded our expectations. Every time we go to Tupelo we have such a sad experience. Trying to give everyone a second and third chance plus we love to go on weekends so we tried it on weekdays and the service is terrible. The receptionist are rude and always has an attitude and the waitress and waiters seem miserable. Wait times are long but more seriously their staff is much to be desired. They are poorly managed because I know many that have had same issues and have mentioned it to managements and they just don’t care. Super unprofessional.. save your money
Honestly would give them zero stars if possible. I live downtown and I walked down to Market Sqaure to grab lunch. The host stated because I was asking to sit for 1 person they would only seat me at the bar. I couldn’t get a table. I would understand if I came at a busy time but theres were tons of outdoor and indoor tables open. Will not be back. Book a table now
We sat on the patio, service was excellent. We saw others eating biscuits and jam, you have to ask for them. We both had a chicken meal and the side of fries and mac cheese were super fantastic. We will come back!
Very nice casual eatery, keep in mind all of the additional charges for add-ons, it can double the cost of each plate. Other than the surprise on the bill, the food is really excellent and the service is good.
The Surf Turf was fantastic, with just the right hint of spice. The fried pickles were perfectly crispy, and my magic lemonade was absolutely the best!
We visit the Knoxville location every time we come in. One of our favorites. I’ve been to others and they’re just not as good. Book a table now
