Ordered paneer chilly, paneer tikka and butter naan for take away order. The restaurant is located in a very nice locality in the heart of Ridgewood downtown with great ambience. But I was highly disappointed with their food, maybe I ordered the ones that are not so great at this place. Paneer was stiff and rubbery with no flavor in both the dishes, and they gave me plain naan, instead of butter.
It came out to $24~ for one takeout meal (no sides, no drinks, JUST the entrée), which is ridiculous. Gone are the days of under-20 dollar dinners.Will not come back here again, as I can no longer afford it.Parking: Parking is horrendous. It is impossible to find a spot close to the restaurant. Park in one of the many restricted spaces just to pickup your takeout order, then leave immediately.
My wife and I had a reservation for two at 8:30 PM. However, we waited 20 minutes to be seated and then an additional 30 minutes for a waiter to take our order. We asked three times for our order to be taken, but all we received were excuses. Frustrated, we decided to leave. Instead, we went to Manjal and had a much better experience. I was shocked by the unprofessional service at Turmeric.
This restaurant is truly a hidden gem! The food is fantastic, and the service is outstanding. The atmosphere is so pleasant and inviting that we lingered long after finishing our meal. We will definitely be back time and time again. They also use electronic iPad menus that are easy to read and navigate. If you're looking for delicious Indian cuisine, this is the place to go! this was my first time ever having indian food and the feel was so welcoming and our server was very patient while we ordered because most of my party have never had indian food. The food was great and I enjoyed it very much.
We hadn't had Indian food in awhile and decided to try Tumeric. It was well worth it. Tasty lamb korma and chicken tikka without being too spicy. Good value for the price.
Wonderful , authentic Indian cuisine. The owner is fantastic, very friendly and caring. Surprise to see such a great Indian restaurant in this small town . Must come.
Some of the best Indian food I've had in NJ. It was jazz night and the music was a little loud but other than that it was a very good experience. Definitely will be Book a table now
