We decided to stop in for lunch at this restaurant because we knew it was dog friendly. We were seated in the bar area where dogs are allowed, and found menus on the table with a list of specials attached. We were a bit disappointed to see there were not many vegetarian or vegan options available. Despite this, we chose the fish and chips (small portion) which turned out to be delicious and surprisingly filling for its size. As we were leaving, we noticed a chalkboard displaying veggie options - it would have been helpful if they had this information in the dog seating area or provided a printed sheet on the table. Twin Farms is a charming local pub that my friend introduced me to, and I absolutely love it. The interior is very traditional, with stone walls, wooden floors, and furniture. I recently enjoyed a delicious Sunday evening dinner there, featuring the best turnip I've ever had and perfectly fluffy Yorkshire puddings. The food is tasty and the menu offers a good variety, with reasonably priced starters and main courses. The drinks are also reasonably priced, with a great selection of beers. It's a cozy spot, perfect for a romantic date or a casual get-together with friends. I highly recommend Twin Farms for a Sunday meal, and the beer garden is especially lovely on a sunny afternoon.
Twin farms is my friends local pub and is a lovely place. It's vey traditional inside with stone walls and floors and wooden furniture. They do a lovely sunday dinner with the best turnip I have ever tasted (and cannot for the life of me recreate and fabulous yorkshire puddings! The food is lovely and the menu is quite varied and is reasonably priced at around or for a main course. Drinks are reasonable and they sell a variety of beers. It's a cosy place, perfect for a cosy date, or catch up with friends and would highly recommend for a Sunday dinner! The beer garden is lovely on a sunny afternoon!
This is where we go for a meal when we want to be confident of the quality and range. It's a particularly safe bet to take the parents there's always something for the most conservative tastes on the menu, but plenty to satisfy the more adventurous eater too. They do quite of lot of dishes with an oriental influence which I always enjoy. The service is consistently friendly, even in the mad frenzy of partying and celebration that is New Years Eve on Tyneside.The actual building is very attractive. It looks like an old farmhouse but in fact is newly constructed on the site of an old farm.

I used to love coming to this restaurant for Sunday dinner, but today I was disappointed. The prices were high and the food quality was poor. The pork was dry and flavorless, and the vegetables were tasteless and scarce. The staff didn't seem to care that we were unhappy with our meal. After many years of being a customer, I won't be returning until I hear that the restaurant has improved its quality.
This place has always been fantastic for Sunday lunch but today it was overpriced for poorer quality, tasteless food. Thin gravy which used to be thick and tasty, dry pork and tasteless veg (not much of it either and under the meat which was awful. The staff didn’t care that we hadn’t enjoyed our meals at all so after years of eating here, I won’t be back until I hear it’s back to how it used to be.
I ordered the beef and wine casserole. It looked ok but impossible to eat gristly and hard meat no taste of any wine I would not have feed it to a dog such poor quality. 18.50 for inedible good is disgraceful I told the man in duty who just said he’d let re chef know. No apologies no refund no alternative offered I would certainly never go back again. Think carefully before going here.!!!!!!!
