FPO and I have been to this Twin Peaks twice and both times we 've had really good experiences. We usually ask for booths because they 've got high plexiglass partitions separating the tables and it 's just reassuring that they didn 't remove them after the pandemic ended . This second trip we had Kirsten as our server. She was friendly, attentive, very knowledgeable about the menu, and gave a lot of ordering hints and suggestions. I recently moved to the Kansas City area and had never heard of this restaurant before. On Mother's Day, my adult daughter recommended a place with a large menu offering a variety of choices, so I decided to check it out. When we arrived, I felt a bit apprehensive because the parking lot was mostly empty. However, once inside, I realized it was due to the Mother's Day celebration. We seated ourselves and decided to order some food because, why not!?!? The dishes were delicious, and the waitstaff was incredibly friendly. I would definitely return. We were craving a chicken fried steak and remember this one being awesome. Thursday night. Opening day for KC ROYALS! Place was super packed but our service was still perfect. Happy hour is Monday Thursday 3 6 throughout the entire restaurant so we went for the triple play with salsa, guac, and queso. Chips were delicious and hot. Queso and guac were delicious however the salsa was piping hot (temperature wise? and we weren't impressed with it. Chicken fried steak was split in the back for us and we were both absolutely stuffed from it. Gravy was good potatoes were a little bland and needed salt and pepper and green beans were good.
I 've been here twice. Tried to give it a second chance. Service has been awful both times. I left here tonight without ever getting the meal I paid for. Party of 3, I never got the food I paid for. No is everything ok ? No need anything ? Instead the waitress was more interested in talking to her friends at the table literally next to me. Sorry. Absolutely awful and this waitress shouldn 't be in this business. Again, second time. Same experience. Good thing is we have choices in life. Never again. Book a table now
The appetizer platter included fried pickles, chicken strips, and deliciously crispy mozzarella balls – if that doesn't say "American," then I don't know what does! We enjoyed tall glasses of iced tea and beer while our dinner order was taken, and the food did not disappoint. The chicken was juicy, the sandwich was delicious, and the salad was incredibly tasty. A special shout-out to Shaq and Bambi – true MVPs of the experience! I highly recommend this place to everyone.
trying to watch a game on the TV and the manager said they did have it cause of the game we wanted since we were from out of town. payed and left and lone behold the game was on at a local bar we went to after eating and our friends that were eating at Hooters and it was on there. Not sure if he didn't want to look for it or what was his problem. don't remember his name but he was fat with a full beard , not a friendly guy at all
Popped in for a lunch meeting with a buddy. Must say the coldest beer I've had in a long while. I think my favorite part is the beer slushy that floats up half way through your drink. Grabbed a chicken cobb salad. Solid salad. Buddy had a billionaire burger and said it was amazing. Plenty of TVs and sports coverage would be a great place to catch a chiefs or royals game.
This restaurant was disappointing. They got everything wrong, and the food was terrible. It's such a shame. I honestly don't have much else to add. Book a table now
We came out to watch the chiefs game, and our bartender Katie was amazing! She dealt with so many difficult customers and just kept going.
