Wanted to visit this place for ages, and so we came down with the kids for some desserts. Was surprised to learn that they also offer food. Visited by mostly Asian clientele, the place gets really busy in evenings so I 'd probably recommend booking a table, or come early. Icecream display is an attraction in itself. Plenty to choose from. Kids loved making their own selection. Warning 3 scoops is a very large portion! Make you own ice cream is also huge, more than enough to eat on its own. The service is quite poor, we were seated by a guy who was moody bearing in mind there were only about 8-9 tables full at this stage. However, the food came quickly and seemed fresh and hot aside from the Ferrero Rocher ‘freshly baked’ cake which was dry and definitely did not feel fresh. Overall the savoury dishes taste too sweet, chilli chips and veg pasta were both too sweet and definitely overpriced for the portion size. The crepe and waffles are nice but found the desserts to be too sweet and unbalanced. We’ve had better desserts elsewhere and aside for the eat out to help out I wouldn’t come back. We ordered two savoury dishes and two desserts and on a normal day would have cost £34!
Had the Ferraro rocher waffles and Mexican hot pizza. Both very tasty. The waffles were freshly made and the pizza was smaller than I remember but very tasty. Great for a treat with family and friends and child friendly as well. Last time I visited the waiter told our kids to stop walking around which didn’t sit well with me. Great array of desserts and ice creams to chose from. You can also get take away. I love the bubblegum flavour ice cream and the candyfloss flavoured one.
We fancied a dessert and we figured that it would be good to try a new place. But we were stunned when the cookie dough came out really small like a small cookie and the whipped ice cream tasted like double cream which didn’t taste nice. The Nutellaberry crepes were okay apart from the vanilla ice cream that didn’t taste like vanilla. But the crepe was good. There’s also no parking so my boyfriend was moody from the start. I visited Twist with a friend on a week day. Parking was bit of a problem. Twist is a nice clean vegetarian dessert and snacks place. A good range of savoury and desserts are on their menu. We ordered a pizza and halloumi burger which was fresh and delicious. The chocolate icecream on a waffle is absolutely scrumptious. A nice place for a catch up with friends and family.
Felt humiliated with the manager’s attitude. He saw that we are Asian, didn’t want to take my order, didn’t allow me to ask questions regarding the menu or to explore what is offered) , and even shouted at us before we left asking us if we’ve paid when his staff told him that we did. There was only us and another group which was there.
The soup of the day- doesn’t it have to be freshly made on that day soup? I had a tomato soup which was so unhealthy .. so salty. Yes, the menu is big but obviously the standard low. Why would you risk your business and lye to your customers? I wouldn’t like to be lied again.
I went there to celebrate Eid, the Ice cream was great, but me and my wife were treated really badly by a very young waitress, who was rude and very unprofessional. I will never go back there. Very bad customer service.
