When my in-laws visited us for two months, they enjoyed it so much that we took them three times. The one downside is that they don’t serve alcohol, but aside from that, it’s a wonderful place to enjoy quality food. I usually opt for the spicy broth, while my wife alternates between the spicy and the house broth. One of the best features is that they provide a variety of sauces to enhance the flavor of your broth according to your preferences. I like to add a bit of chili sauce and Sriracha for an extra kick. The selection of ingredients you can add to your broth is impressive, with plenty of vegetables and seafood available. They also offer a range of pre-cooked dishes and you can grill me...

I’m sorry, fellow Yelpers, but I don’t agree with the overall rating here. I visited with a group of seven, and since our party had five or more people, we were automatically charged an 18% gratuity. This meant that the staff could neglect our group, providing either mediocre or no service at all, while still getting paid. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened at U Shabu. Some members of our group were seated before us, and once we arrived, no one asked us if we wanted drinks or explained how the dining options worked. We weren’t even greeted by a server. I felt completely lost until I realized it was set up like a cafeteria buffet. I wasn’t impressed with the food either; it definitel...

Love this place! Standard Hot Pot experience, but what sets this place apart is the fact that their appetizers are also AYCE. You can scoop however much fresh rice you want, grab as many gyoza or egg rolls as you'd like, or my favorite, go crazy on the fried pork belly appetizer. There is also sushi that is available to grab as much as you'd like. The servers came by very often to refill our hot pot broth, and the restaurant was kept cold so that the hot pot never felt too overwhelmingly hot. My recommendation is the sukiyaki broth, but the miso broth is great too!

My family and I visit this restaurant several times each month, and we've noticed quite a few changes over the last year. We still really like this place, but now the hot dishes are classified as appetizers, which come with an additional fee. Also, the quality and amount of meat have changed—I used to enjoy having more than just four slices on my plate. That said, we love the broths and usually choose the grill option. The vegetable and sauce bar has a great selection to pick from. The service is always excellent, and the staff remains very attentive. Book a table now

This restaurant consistently delivers on what it promises. My family and I do wish they offered alcohol, though. The service varies; usually it’s excellent, but there was one time when we were completely overlooked and I had to signal to get help. Other than that, we always leave feeling full and happy! It would be great if they could get a liquor license!

We used to come here at least 2 3 times a month. But the last time we were here you can tell that meat quality went down. You used to be able to get your own hot side dishes but now you have to order them with waiters. Stacy is always exceptional with her service. Thats the reason we kept coming back.
