As a Japanese living in Geneva, this is one of the very few places to buy Japanese foods in the city. And they also have some sushi and deli stuff (croquettes, Nikuman, etc.) as well as bentos, which you can eat in the store (there is seating). I agree with other reviewers that their sushi is good. In fact, my Japanese colleagues also say that the Sushi from Uchitomi is better than that of other Japanese restaurants in the city - which I also agree and definitely that it's better than that of other "pick-up and go/eat" type of sushi joints in the city. One of my favourite stores in Geneva. They sell most everything you could want in regard to Japanese products. It's somewhat pricey but that's to be expected given many of the products are specialist and being brought over from Japan and to be honest even then it's not bad consider it's in Switzerland. They have a small food seating area where you can purchase sushi from the shop and sit down. The cashier counter also has some hot foods available, it's a small selection but nice if you fancy a bite to eat whilst doing your shopping. They also sell non-food items such as kitchenware etc and alcohol. Great store!
My favorite Japanese grocery store. I go there regularly to stock up on Japanese products. The staff is very friendly, the store is always clean and the prices are fair (expensive but that's somewhat normal, it comes from Japan lol).The catering service is top notch, the sushi is extra fresh and delicious (I recommend pre-ordering the day before to have sushi prepared at the desired time).
It's a nice place in general, for take-away, eat-in or even grocery shopping. However, there is this one staff who is very unpleasant every time I go there. I actually hesitated several times before going there, asking myself whether I really have to shop there...risking that I might end up ruining my mood by interacting with this person. The best Japanese grocery store in Geneva. You find everything (or almost). While surfing the internet you come across a recipe that you really want. You will find all the ingredients. They also have Japanese dishes and kitchen utensils. There is also a wide choice of sake and spirits. There is labeling in French for the products.
Very good store for all Japanese products. There is a lot of variety there. The only downside is the prices which are very expensive. Other Japanese stores offering the same products are cheaper. So compare carefully before buying
Very nice place for authentic imported Japanese food. Prices are a bit expensive but the quality is there. Highly recommended!
