So far I’ve been here twice, but I know that I will come back many, many times.My husband were driving around the area and saw Umai while we were picking out take out from another restaurant. We looked it up and immediately knew we had to check it out! And I’m SO glad we did.It’s a very small restaurant. There’s a couple of tables, some bar spots, and some tables outside. They do take reservations, though, if you call ahead, which is nice.The first time we came on a Saturday around 7:30 and were glad to get seats inside at the bar. We were blown away by the food! Umai has never failed me and I've been eating their ramen since they opened ? the spicy tonkotsu is my FAVORITE but it's also super delicious without the spicy lol my husband typically gets the spicy miso ramen and I also really love their chicken karaage ? Their pork charsui is some of the best in, not only flavor, but in portion size too. So good. And their service is top notch. Everyone is super nice. They've converted to a paperless menu system (qr code) but that doesn't mean they're not attentive to you! And the food comes out quick. Love them!
There is limited seating indoors and as this is a strip mall, outdoor seating is not great. That said food makes up for it. Vegan Tomyum Ramen is the best ramen in the area. Veggies Japanese curry is also good. Umai Curry and Tomyum Ramen are popular.Good for take out, the staff is great. OMGOODNESS! This is our new family favorite. The ramen is so fresh and tasty. The dumplings are amazing. Everything is fresh. The service is prompt and friendly. The drawback is the size of the restaurant. It's quaint but worth it.
