This charming Italian restaurant has a nostalgic old-world ambiance that takes you back to another era. Despite the snowy weather and light lunch crowd, the food was exceptional. The freshly baked bread was delightful, and the homemade minestrone soup was both light and aromatic. The shrimp dish was particularly outstanding. To top it off, the waiter surprised us with a scrumptious dessert adorned with a chocolate message for my girlfriend's birthday. We will definitely be returning to this gem of a restaurant.
The food was very tasty. I recommend the Parmigiano veal. Our server was personable and helpful with the menu. Since it was NYE, I was nervous about the seats available, but my wife and I were in a cabin that was comfortable enough for two other guests. The prices were very reasonable, but the food didn't suffer. All around a great experience and a great, unpretentious neighborhood restaurant.
Great food and service. Very friendly staff and very accommodating for our two children. We all ate until we were full and went into our pockets with two more meals worth of food. Great neighborhood restaurant and good Italian food. I would recommend the Calimari as a starter who can keep up with the best that Chicago has to offer. We will come back 10 out of 10 experiences! ????????
I haven't been back in a few years. I wanted a comfortable place to spend an evening with friends. Reminds of Via Veneto ... and it didn't disappoint! Cool, comfortable and the food was wonderful! We will come back!

Pleasantly surprised that this great restaurant was open on New Year's Day! Even more surprised that they had a zucchini spaghetti dish on special - yummy! And ... panna cotta !!! Yum!
