We walked in at 7pm and the place was empty, except for the hostess. A few minutes later, the bartender strolled in to start his shift. I looked over and saw that the bartender was preoccupied with his phone which we thought was strange since he should 've been working on our drinks. The venue featured three levels and had live music, but there were complaints about it going on too late into the night. With better management, a more strategic business plan, and without the disruptions caused by COVID-19, perhaps they could have thrived, especially if they had booked some good acts from the '70s and '80s to perform in one of the upper levels of the restaurant.
This location has struggled in the past; it used to house a popular dance club and another storefront. I suspect the high operating costs, including taxes and expenses, have contributed to its lack of success since it was built around 2003. It will be interesting to see who takes over this space and how they decide...
I talked to the owner Mike and got some good information on how some of the food is cooked.The wings are brined for 48 to 56 hours. They make their own sauces and bleu cheese. The crab cake is made to order and fresh but not too mention, huge! It wad flaky and not dry, with lots of flavor.I have over 2 million views from my food photos and these pics should put me close to 3mil. I live in VA and when I come back, this still be my go to spot.This is not your typical bar food and if uppity want something fresh and good, I would pass up the other food spots in the area and come straight here.
I wanted to take my cousin and his wife to a nice restaurant, so I searched for places in Nyack and found this one in the results. I called the restaurant using the phone number I found, but I received a message saying, "The number you dialed is not in service." I'm not sure if the restaurant is still operating, but if it is, I hope someone sees this soon. It's an understatement to say that this situation does not reflect well on your business. My friend held her birthday party here on Saturday, and the service was outstanding! Everyone was fantastic. I will definitely be returning. It's a great place with wonderful staff and a lively atmosphere.
