Great DJ! Love the music that was played the room was great. Our server that was the waitress/bartender/cashier made a lot fall thru the crack. Because we has a party over 10 we weren’t allowed to have separate tabs. Our all in one brought me the bill to pay on one credit card, when other guest wanted to order they were told that my credit card would be charged without my authorization. Unacceptable! Great spot but horrible customer service. The spot should be about the experience for their patrons.
It is a smaller space but cute. The seating was quick and they were not very crowded for a Saturday brunch. I am not sure why they require a credit card for reservations but we didn’t have any issues. The server was nice and gave us good service. The food was okay, not anything I would rave about but decent. I was hoping for a DJ to be playing as advertised but it was in the space next door, not the dining area but still decent music being played on a playlist.
Upper Kirby did not disappoint--next time it's going to be a QUIET place! As soon as we sat--within 5min food landed on the table! Chicken was bomb, greens too spicy--tasty but HOT! Them biscuits were delicious the oxtails grits mmmmmmm! Overall I'd do pickup--I don't think I'll mire through the noise inconvenience of parking, etc! (Went last weekend)Very loud and not ideal for catching up but if you're just wanting good food--yes!
The ambiance was great, and the service was great. Dined for the first time for Brunch on a Saturday. The food however was not delightful. The soul food plate comes with grits, a cornbread muffin, fried chicken, collard greens, and oxtail. The cornbread was dry like Popeyes biscuits, the collard greens tasted like vinegar and the chicken was SALTY and overcooked. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant or return back.

Thought we would try a new place for our date night and based on reviews we were excited to try this Bistro. The food was good, not great. The ambience was interesting to say the least. The wait staff were extremely loud in the back kitchen area. People kept walking through the dining area. After dinner we got up to leave and a staff member stopped us to ensure we paid! Not the experience we had hoped for.
The food was outstanding! They serve generous portions of delicious dishes, particularly the ones featuring goose. The drinks are also great, not watered down like at many other restaurants. I can't wait to go back! The only downside is the parking, which could be improved.
The meal I ordered was good. If you want a varied brunch menu, the items are fairly similar but the oxtails and grits were delicious. The environment is a bit loud if you don’t want a lively brunch setting. Might be better for dinner service.
Fantastic! The food was excellent, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was just perfect. The waitress was always two steps ahead. I will definitely be returning frequently!

birthday party for the 60th birthday of my cousin. it was an experience for her! she really enjoyed herself! we talked to the owner and he was so personal and accommodating.
I love the atmosphere and vibes. Everyone were Great! First time, birthday vi lovsit. I would love to visit again.
