Went to Uptown Grill in Guelph today The service was horrific. Orders were taken and food delivered to table quickly. Then we never seen another waitress the entire time. We had ordered coffee and no waitress came back to table to top up coffee or even ask us how the meal was. All of our drinks and waters were empty and nobody came back to table so we could ask for anything. The ketchup bottle on table was empty which is understandable but because we had nobody come to our table after food delivery we were unable to get more ketchup so we took a bottle from a vacant table across the aisle. We had also been waiting to ask a waitress for jam for our toast the entire meal...no waitress. We did...
This was my first time to eat here. There always seems to be lots of cars at this place, so lots of people must like it here. I would say it was average and I wouldn't likely choose to go back. We waited a few minutes for a table for 2. ...our table was very wobbly, and waitress offered to fix it ..we tried ourselves and gave up...menu looked a little old,pancakes /.coffee-/.price-average.....I'd say decor older and more casual looking than when it was the old Jolly's- so don't expect it to look the same. Parking lot a little cramped at the back...if busy- you may want to park elsewhere and walk over.....give it a shot- obviously lots of people lean towards this breakfast spot...just wasn't...
Frequently visit Uptown Grill for breakfast Sunday mornings. Always able to be seated within 10 minutes, and the food is quick to come to the table. There's never been an issue with our meals, and we've always left full and happy. Would highly recommend the pancakes with the "uptown sweet trio" (whipped cream, fresh strawberries, and berry preserves).
Didn't Wait Long at the Door.. Service was Fast getting Breakfast.. Meal was Hot ..Lots of Food on the Plate.. Waitresses are Quick running around fills cups.. I Go Back... Thanks Uptown Grill...
