We stumbled upon Urban Grub at the last minute and called to see if they had a reservation available. Surprisingly, they were able to accommodate our party of 5 for 8pm. We arrived early and were seated at the chef's table, giving us a great view of the kitchen operation. Special thanks to hostess Rue for fitting us in and providing us with a fantastic experience. I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The service was exceptional; our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu, gave great recommendations, and even shared some interesting history about the restaurant's origins. The dishes we ordered were plentiful and delicious. The drink menu was impressive, with a variety of craft beer, wine, and cocktails. The atmosphere, although a bit loud on the night we visited, was enhanced by a central fireplace and an exposed brick/ceramic oven in the kitchen, giving the place an artisanal vibe. We waited a decent time without reservation, and it was worth every second! Food and service were top-notch, definitely a cut over most restaurants. The roasted green tomato appetizer, kale Caesar salad and bread were delicious as the fillet with blue cheese crust. The souis vide pork chop with smoked Bourbon peaches was the best pig stable I ever had. It is 2 inches thick and as delicate as the fillet mignon. The page commands when fresy grits and kraged greens complete our fantastic southern meal.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, although there were flies present. The shrimp and grits dish was delicious, and I would definitely order the collard greens again.
