This restaurant needs to hire more waitstaff. Our waiter confused our order, even with the help of a Russian-speaking friend. I dined here with a large group after making a reservation, and three of us ended up not receiving our Laghman (dry noodles) after waiting three hours, only to be told that the kitchen had run out of the dish, despite the waiter having recommended it to us. The samboosa is overpriced at $4 each, although I suppose that's just the going rate in Brookline. One of the staff members was apologetic and removed the 20% tip that was automatically added, although I don't think gratuity should have been included in the first place. This was on a Sunday night, so it might have...

You might enjoy the nice interior of Uzbegim Boston, but the food leaves much to be desired. We ordered mixed kebabs, Samosa, Chebureki, and Kazan kebab. The Samosa was good, while the Chebureki was just average. Unfortunately, from the mixed kebab, only lamb chops were served, and we never received the liver kebab or Lula kebab. Despite showing the server a picture from the menu, we received no explanation or apology for the mix-up. The Kazan kebab was particularly disappointing due to excessive saltiness. When we mentioned this to the server, he simply acknowledged our feedback and walked away. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant.
The owner is from Uzbekistan and has employed a staff of fellow Uzbeks, which makes running a business like this quite challenging. He invested a significant amount in the decor, and from my experience, they always made an effort to provide quality service. The ingredients were fresh, the food was authentic, and the service was heartfelt. I truly hope they will reopen soon, as their dishes remind me of home and family. The plov here surpasses that of many Uzbek restaurants in NYC. I still can’t believe they are closed!
An excellent, authentic Uzbek restaurant with a great atmosphere. We visited with a friend who grew up in Uzbekistan, and she was thoroughly impressed. The food was outstanding, featuring a comprehensive menu that included everything from horse meat to lamb, as well as exceptional Uzbek rice pilaf and pickled vegetables. For vegetarians, there are plenty of options such as a pickled vegetable dish, vegetarian rice pilaf, Uzbek salad (made with cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions), samosas, and more. Book a table now
Well this was quite the unexpected hideaway that truly blew me out of the water. If you are looking for some awesome and delicious food thats authentic and real then definitely stop by this spot. This place has all the fixings to make it feel like you are eating something someone who loves to cook and put love into their food has made. Service isn't really top priority but who cares when the food is this good. Get the Manti and get the Kazan kabab its fall off the bone good.
Lovely decor and a charming traditional ambiance, but the food and service leave much to be desired. The presentation and flavor of the dishes need significant improvement, and the greasy taste was disappointing. For $140 for three people, I expected more, and we didn't even receive tea.
Food need a seriously improvement. Main dish: Plov : undercooked rice , beef was cooked separately from the plov. Soup Mastava had not taste. Samsa , Manti was delicious. Prices are reasonable. Good service.
