This quaint unassuming storefront with a slightly dilapidated look right off Houston would be easy to miss. But don't! The simplicity of this place is that it goes for good food. Under the harsh florescent lights and creaky chairs, you'll be served delicious fare at an affordable price $10-15/ dish). Not quite the same as venturing into the outer boroughs but perhaps the next best thing in the city. We were offered a sampler of the Momos while our server saw us deliberating which one to try. All of them were phenomenal but if I only could pick one it would be the chicken — it offered the richest punch of flavor. There is also a 4% discount if paying with cash. Definitely would go back.
Tibetan restaurant in the lower east side, specialized in Indo Chinese cuisine. they have momos, curries, noodles, etc. we have five different dishes and share them family style (see photos). everything was gas. this place is the right deal/super authentic. the prices were amazing considering that this is a down restaurant in nyc and lower east side neighboring. they give a 4% discount for cash, so they bring some unless their card gives them 5% cashback. my favorites were the nudes and the curry, but they honestly cannot go wrong what they order. please do you like one and go here!
