This is a lovely old world Italian restaurant that reminds of another time. It was a snowy day and the restaurant wasn't crowded for lunch, but the food was great. The bread was fresh and delicious. The homemade minestrone was light and fragrant. The shrimp were excellent. It was my girlfriend's birthday, and our waiter, on his own initiative, brought a delicious dessert with a message in chocolate. We will come back in any case.
The food was delicious and I highly recommend trying the Parmigiano veal. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We were worried about finding seating on NYE, but were pleasantly surprised to be seated in a cozy cabin that comfortably fit two other guests. The prices were reasonable and the quality of the food was not compromised. Overall, it was a fantastic experience at a laid-back neighborhood restaurant.
Great food and service. Very friendly staff and very accommodating for our two children. We all ate until we were full and went into our pockets with two more meals worth of food. Great neighborhood restaurant and good Italian food. I would recommend the Calimari as a starter who can keep up with the best that Chicago has to offer. We will come back 10 out of 10 experiences! ????????
After having had dinner here for a long time, we were very disappointed with almost everything. Hope it was just a deviation.
