Staff was short and room was full, which challenged their service level on a holiday evening. The musical talent and humor and good spirits of the overtaxed wait staff, with a little customer self help, got drinks and a fine meal delivered on close to the same schedule that prior good service would lead one to expect. If there is one restaurant in Santa Fe in which to happily wait for post-pandemic service kinks to work themselves out on a busy night, Vanessie would be that restaurant.
We are long time diners at Vanessie's and had not been there since the virus arrived. Like many places, felt they were still struggling with increased crowds. Drink service was slow and menu was a little different. Entertainment was good, except a little loud. Will try again soon. Parking still is limited in area, but evening was nice for a short walk. We had visitors from Nevada, so it was a nice experience for them.
great food. great service. great service. wonderful atmosphere wonderful atmosphere. if you are looking for a great romantic mind, this is the place easy to foot from the hotels in the plaza.

Getting out of the pandemic mode and experiencing live music with good simple food Vanessie is perfect on a Friday night.
I enjoyed both the food and the music at this restaurant. However, I would prefer if they did not allow dogs inside.
The food at this restaurant is amazing! The Piano Bar is exceptional. The hotel rooms are spacious and cozy.
